Starting, Ending and Acknowledging Sessions
If there’s one habit to build as a trainer, it’s this one.
The start-stop-acknowledge flow is a non-negotiable, and is one of the most essential parts of your daily workflow.
For a session to count towards your target, the full flow of start, end, acknowledge needs to happen.
You start and end the session from the Trainer app, and your client acknowledges it from the Client app.
If any of those steps are missed, the session won’t count toward your target.
Here’s how to do it right.
To start a session, head to your home screen and go to the Upcoming Workouts section. The Start Session button will appear 30 minutes before the scheduled time and stay active for 60 minutes after. For example, if a session is scheduled for 1pm, the start button becomes available at 12:30, and stays available up until 1:59. If you miss this window to start the session, its status will turn into light gray, which is status missed. You can also start and end sessions from your calendar. Just tap the session, and you’ll see the Start Session button there too.
Once you tap Start, your client gets a real-time notification that the session has started.
Once you’re in, and the session is in progress, you can still move around the app, just tap on the arrow in the upper right corner to minimize the session in progress screen. You can then navigate the app, and the session in progress toolbar will stay at the bottom of the screen. You can expand it back up by tapping the arrow at any time.
When you’re done, end the session by sliding the End Session button.
Here’s what happens next:
- Your client gets a pop up on their app to acknowledge the session, Once acknowledged, they are asked to rate the difficulty level, and leave a comment and rating.
- These ratings help you adjust future workouts and are stored in their session history.
- Once the client completes this, the session is officially acknowledged and counts toward your conduction target.
If your client hasn’t acknowledged the last session, you won’t be able to start a new session with that client.
Note that the Crunch One Kickoff, kickoff follow up, and SGA’s are automatically acknowledged in the system once the Trainer starts and ends the session. This removes the need for clients to confirm manually.
As usual, the client will still receive the post-session rating and comment request, ensuring that feedback collection continues without disruption.
Bottom line: If the session is not started and ended, it doesn’t count. So before your client heads out of the gym, make it a habit to get that acknowledgment in real time. It takes just one tap on their app, almost like a digital signature that seals the session. It’s quick, effortless, and keeps everything locked in.
